This policy explains how Yardley Inc ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information you provide when booking a service with us. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
Your name, email address, and (optionally) phone number
The services and dates you book, and any notes you choose to share
Records of past visits and gift cards associated with your email
Why we collect it
To schedule, confirm, and manage your appointment
To send you booking confirmations, reminders, and cancellation links by email or text
To keep a service history so our team can serve you better on return visits
To meet our legal and tax record-keeping obligations
How we store and protect it
Your information is stored securely with our booking platform provider (Supabase). Access is restricted to authorised Yardley Inc staff. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us operate (for example, our SMS provider for text confirmations, or our email provider for receipts). These providers are bound by their own privacy obligations and only receive what they need to deliver the service.
How long we keep it
We keep booking, payment, and gift card records for at least seven (7) years to satisfy Canadian tax and business record-keeping requirements. Other personal information is kept only for as long as we have a reasonable business purpose, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
